One of the few remaining street religious processions in China
was held on the 13th of May in Macau.
It marked the 100th anniversary
of the Virgin Mary apparition in Fátima, Portugal.
3,000 joined the procession across the city’s streets.
From the Se Cathedral where a mass was officiated by Macau’s bishop Stephen Lee
to the church of Our Lady of Penha
where a candle-lit vigil was held.
Macau has a population of approximately 640,000
with 30,000 of them being Catholics.
